Dear Reader,

We missed the May edition of ICHA news. However, the activities are being pursued actively. We have initiated a number of projects. As these take off your expertise would be required in implementation. A number of major events are also on the anvil and will be announced as finalized.

H. E. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam had granted an audience to ICHA delegation on August 12th ’08. Expressing solidarity and support to ICHA in several ways, he has agreed to give a date in November to participate in an event to be organized by ICHA in New Delhi – Watch out for details soon.

The highlights are:

1. Prof. R. K. Sharma, Dean SGPGI Lucknow is organizing DIALYSISCON 2008 at SGPGI Lucknow on 11 – 14th September 2008.
2. Prof. Anil Gupta and his team are organizing the HART 2008 conference at PGIMER Chandigarh on 11 – 12 October 08. The details and brochure can be viewed at URL http://pgimer.nic.in/hart_2008.htm
3. Kerala Chapter of IIA is organizing an International conference – "Archi – Medis" from October 19th – 21st '08.


4. ICHA is endorsing IBC Asia’s Conference at Singapore (29th – 30th October '08: If you wish to be a faculty speaker at the conference on Healthcare Operations Management, please get in touch with the Secretariat. You can choose from a variety of topics. However, kindly note that the organizers have offered only complimentary registration for Two people, but no hospitality or travel.
5. Affiliate Contributions: Dr. BVR Sastry had organised ISA Delhi Chapter in May 08. Dr. Sangal made a detailed presentation about ICHA, its plans and programmes.


6. Projects and Programmes: We have been actively pursuing a number of projects which are just taking off. We have had initial discussions. We are also collaborating with other organizations in pursuance of the same.
